Best for Mantels, exposed rafters, feature beams
Oversized beams and timbers milled with grain, size, and proportion treated as design decisions rather than catalog constraints.
Rough-Sawn Lumber
Best for Siding, trim, and character wood
Rough-sawn texture and true dimensions that read differently than planed lumber, cut for projects where the material is the finish.
Timber Pergolas
Best for Shade over a patio or deck
Heavy rough-sawn pergolas cut from our own timber, sized for the span and detailed for wind and snow.

Planning
What to Sort Out Before Milling
The cut list is the conversation
Talk through the end use first. Dimensions, lengths, and quantities follow from what the material has to do, and that conversation should happen before any chainsaw work.
Your logs or ours
Storm-downed timber, thinning, or trees cleared for a building site can become the project material. Species, length, diameter, and embedded metal all shape what the logs can become.
Green wood needs a plan
Fresh-cut lumber wants drying time or a design that accommodates movement. Some uses, such as fence rails and rough outdoor structures, tolerate green material built with that in mind.
Timber and steel together
Many timber structures need fabricated connections, brackets, or decorative steel, which our welding shop builds so the two materials are detailed as one design.
Replacement decades later
Milling fence rails and structural members to consistent dimensions means a repair years from now is a matching piece rather than a hunt for an odd size.
Getting material to the site
Access, load size, and where material can be staged all matter on rural properties. Worth sorting out at quoting rather than on delivery day.

Questions We Hear a Lot
What can you mill?
Rustic beams and mantels, dimensional lumber, siding, fence rails and posts, decorative accents, and specialty architectural cuts, sized to your specifications rather than to what is on a shelf.
Can you mill logs from my property?
That is a common request. Bring the end use and an idea of the logs you have, and we will assess species, size, and condition before agreeing a cut list. Logs with embedded wire or nails are the classic hazard, so history matters.
How long does it take from log to usable lumber?
Milling itself is quick. Drying sets the timeline, and it varies by thickness, species, and season. Some uses tolerate green lumber; others need time. We will be straight with you about which applies to your project.
Do you sell material only, or does it come installed?
We mill material for our own builds and take on standalone milling work. What makes sense for your project, and what we can commit to, is worth a direct conversation rather than a blanket answer.
